so done with winter

anyone else sick to death of the snow? it just keeps interrupting my plans and i'm beyond ready for spring. we got another 6" easy last nite...bah!!! anyway, i saw this on someone else's blog and hopefully i'm not offending anyone, but i gotta post it...

on a happier note, i'm knitting again - yay! was on a major hiatus when i wasn't feeling well, but now the morning sickness only strikes in some parts of the day, so i'm squeezing in some knitting here and there. working on a hat for the baby and hoping to finish it this weekend, along w/ a couple more to save for other bebes (found a super easy and sweet pattern for a newborn hat and some pretty soft baby yarn, so i might as well stockpile them, right?). feels so good to be at it again...didn't realize how much i missed it! hopefully i can post a pic next time. i'm also working on a baby blanket for the baby aka Lil Pumpkin, but my husband said it's the ugliest thing i've ever knit, so i'm reluctant to show anyone lol i figure that i'll get plenty of handknit blankets in baby/pastel colors, so i thought i would make one in the school colors for town we live in. thought it would be cute to use when we go for walks around town or to sporting events...why not let my baby show it's support, right? problem is, the school colors are purple and gold :) the yarn i bought was more like purple and yellow and it really is an ugly combination, but i still think i'll get compliments on it once it's in use. either that or i'll lie and say someone made it for me HA j/k...i would never. so maybe i'll post pics of that when i'm farther along.

here's a question...does it bother anyone that i refuse to use caps these days on my rambly posts? i realized that on the more thought out ones, i type correctly, but on the ones where i'm just rambling away with my thoughts, i can't be bothered. hope it's not too annoying. my other excuse is that i seem to have some arthritis in my right hand ring finger that has flared up again (dr thought maybe it was tendinitis, but i don't know) and it kinda hurts to type, so i'm lazy at the keyboard after typing all day at work.

ok, enough rambling. hey, at least it's some actual knitting content, right? hopefully pics next time, k? stay warm if you're in the snowy parts!

Love the picture! LOL

I'm glad you're feeling better!

I didn't even noticed you weren't using caps until you pointed it out! :)

This snow is AWFUL. Matt's out digging us out right now - I"m supposed to empty the dishwasher and make breakfast while he's out there but instead i'm reading blogs... hmmmm...

So knit night was a ball! And I don't think your blanket will be ugly! Only so much you can do with purple and gold...

The no caps doesn't bother me at all. It's your blog. If it's easier to type with no caps than no caps it is!

funny, funny picture! i have to say that i am not really missing living up there right now. i do have my moments on and off where i miss you all but, er, not now. hopefully all this snow will end soon for you guys. i can't believe you guys are going to have to deal with snow on easter, wtf?

on to knitting, you know, some school color combos are just hideous but when you are in the "moment" with a sporting event or out and about among fans, it will be ok. er, let's see, brown and orange aren't the best together either but i don't think there would be any complaints about up there, right? my alma mater colors are green and orange - not the best either - but i love me some team spirit so, there ya go! you are going to get lots and lots of compliments while out walking, at the parks or shopping. you go girl!

oh, and i totally understand about the rambling and caps thing. totally.

Ahem, Lakewood Ranger alumna stepping in for a moment to defend the Purple and Gold, it's not that bad, really.

Our local HS's colors are Blue and Gold, very close to Blue and Maize of Ohio State's arch rival Michigan, but we are a suburb of Columbus. What were they thinking?

The no caps is fine, the knitting will be fab no matter what because it is knitted with love.

Glad to hear the nausea is abating a bit. Happy knitting!

Glad you are feeling a little better and you're knitting...yay :)
There are so many cute patterns for babies out there that I'm sure this little pumpkin will be the best dressed baby :)
We don't have the snow here, but it's been so cold that there is no signs of spring. I'm hoping it will start warming up soon...I am so ready for the nice weather :)

happy knitting :)

Love the pic! We don't get a lot of snow here in Seattle, but we do get a lot of rain and gray skies. And I have to say it is starting to feel like Spring is never going to come no matter what the calendar says!

Yay on knitting again. There is just so much you can make for a baby, you know! And don't worry about the CAPS thing...it is your blog after all.

I haven't had to deal with the snow much, but I've had enough of the cold and gray days. Glad to read that you're knitting again!

Hehe - what a funny picture, love that!

Doesn't matter to me about caps, didn't even notice until you said something, maybe you shouldn't have said anything. ;)
