Ok, enough beating around the bush, right? ;)
My big news is that my hubby and I decided that we wanted to have a baby, started trying at Christmastime and got pregnant the next month!! I'm two months along and due on October 11th with our lil pumpkin! We couldn't be happier and I had my first ultrasound today, so we finally felt like it was time share our big news!
The doctor said the baby looks great and we even got to see the heartbeat (boy, does that make everything seem soooo real!)!
Here's the first picture of our child...
Isn't that just the cutest lil bean ya ever seen? ;) The head is on the right marked by a "+1" and the doctor did confirm that there is only one lil bebe swimmin' around in there, so I guess the fact that my mom is a twin and it is said to skip generations will have to happen for one of my sisters :)
Anyway, I can't guarantee that the blogging will pick up from me just yet, but as I start to feel better (hopefully the all-day morning sickness I've been having for weeks will go away in the next month as I enter the second trimester), I hope to at least use this blog as a way to document/journal my pregnancy.
As for knitting, I haven't been doing any...hard to knit when you are dizzy and nauseous all the time lol However, I told myself that after my u/s, I would start a baby blanket, so I might get started on that soon, and then I'll have some knitting content to share.
Until then, hope all is well in your world!
xo,
Mamabear (as my dear friend Jill is calling me :) )

CONGRATS!!!! (Oct 11th is my father-in-law's bday!)
What a cute little peanut. (Here we don't get to have a U/S so early, so I never got to see my son, nor this 2nd baby boy that small in my belly!) We only get 19 weeks (earliest usually)! And then not again unless the baby is breech.
CONGRATS!
Hope you have a happy & healthy pregnancy!
congrats!!!!!!! I hope all goes well for you and the peanut!!
Congratulations!
Congratulations "Mamabear" & hubby!!!!! That is wonderful news! Hope you're over your "all-day sickness" soon!

Are you kidding? That's wonderful, Jen! So so happy for you girl! So happy!
Oh, what a surprise!!!Yay...I'm so happy for you both :) I know it doesn't feel like it, but morning sickness is a good thing...you have a very healthy baby there :)
Keep a little something in you stomach all the time, and that should help. Like a little cracker. I had bad morning sickness (3 x) and I had a good friend that tipped me on that. I always carried something to nibble on, not a lot, but I think if the stomach acid has something to work on you're not as nauseous.
Good luck and take good care of yourself. It will be exciting hearing all about your pregnancy!
I am so happy for you guys! CONGRATS! I can't wait to hear all about your pregnancy. And I love the u/s pics ... how cute!
